India Startup Summit – 2022 held at the luxurious hotel, The Umrao, strategically located on the Delhi-Gurugram Highway, concluded successfully after 1 full day of Live Pitching, Conferences, Workshops, Exhibitions, and loads of Business Networking.
The event saw more than 1200 Startup Founders, Investors, and Domain Experts flowing in to witness the latest startups and their services.
While walking on thin ice due to the prevailing funding winter, the India Startup Summit took a leap of faith to bring the entire startup ecosystem onto 1 platform. Startup Founders, Investors, VCs, Incubators, and Startup Service providers all came under 1 roof for networking and knowledge sharing.
The event organized by Entrepreneurs Media in association with HSBC was partnered by Bigin by ZOHO CRM, VI-JOHN, TOI+, and SEPC (Services Export Promotion Council).
India Startup Summit was an amalgamation of all the right ingredients that make an event successful – Pitching, Conferences, Keynotes, Workshops and Exhibitions along with the Startup Achievers’ Awards 2022. It saw more than 20 startups pitching in front of 15+ investors. More than 6, panel discussions, covering topics ranging from ‘Community Building’ to ‘What Investors look for?’, kept the august audience captivated.
Mr. Jaideep Singh Kalra, Director, and Head of Business Banking, North India, HSBC Commercial Banking shared the vision that HSBC carries for the support of Startups in India.
The physical exhibition saw more than 23 exhibitors participating in the 1-day event. Some of the prominent companies showcasing their products and services were SkillCircle, greytHR, UpRiver, Resurgent India, Saffronedge, Texnology, Core & Pure, Neutraleaf, HSBC, Bigin by ZOHO CRM, Tax Advisory, and many more. The startups visiting the exhibition found the product and services offered by the exhibitors very useful and many business opportunities were generated.
More than 35 speakers took to the stage and shared their knowledge and experience with the audience. Some of the Prominent Speakers at the event were Balaaji Krishnan (Benny), Head of Global Sales – Bigin by ZOHO CRM, Mr. T. Koshy (CEO, ONDC), Mr. Arjun Vaidya (Founder, Dr. Vaidyas), Mr. Bhrat Sethi (Founder, Rage Coffee) Prof. Dhruv Nath (Director, Lead Angels), Mr. Manish (Senior VP & Partner – Investor Relations, Agility Ventures, Mr. Shivjeet Kullar (Founder – NFX MyndMap), Mr. Nirmallya Roy Chowdhury (CEO & Founder, Radicle), Dr. Munish Jindal (Founder, MentorX & Hoverrobotix) Dr. Nancy Juneja (Founder, MentorX & RevUp Skills), Shivam Ahuja (Founder, SkillCircle), Author Sherry (International Public Speaking Coach), Mr. Tarun Kochar (Director, VI-JOHN Group), Mr. Sivesh Kumar (Founder, Startup Monk) and many more.
Mr. Balaaji Krishnan (Benny), Head of Global Sales – Bigin by ZOHO CRM gave a detailed presentation of their very popular product Bigin. The audience very well accepted it.
The workshops conducted by the domain experts were also a big hit among the attendees. Workshop topics ranged from ‘Personal Branding on LinkedIn’ to ‘SEO Strategy for 2023’. Mr. Shivam Ahuja (SkillCircle) and Mr. Sivesh Kumar (Startup Monk) gave the inputs for running a startup and raising funds, founders took in the knowledge and were invigorated.
Mr. T. Koshy (CEO, ONDC) shared the way forward for the D2C brands and how they can leverage the ONDC platform to reach a wider audience. He also shared about the support ONDC is getting from the Government, enabling them to scale at a much faster pace.
The evening culminated with the Startup Achievers’ Awards 2022 and a cocktail dinner. 50+ Startups were recognized for their exceptional hard work and success in their respective fields. Some of the categories in which the Startups were awarded are – Best Startup of the year (App Development), Best EdTech Startup, Best Startup of the Year (AR/VR Tech), Best Startup of the Year (Industrial Procurement), Best Emerging Startup (OTT Platform), Best Startup of the Year (Food) and many more.
Mr. Ankur Sarin and Mr. Kulpreet Ahuja, Co-Founders of Entrepreneurs Media, shared that the event was sold out 10 days in advance and many of the participants and attendees could not be accommodated. They have confirmed that for the next edition, they will be back with a much bigger show. Both of them thanked the Investors, Founders, Speakers, Exhibitors, and Attendees for being part of the India Startup Summit and Startup Achievers’ Awards 2022.
