On the morning of May 5th, the Umrao Hotel was buzzing with excitement as more than 150 entrepreneurs from around the world gathered for the International Icons of Excellence Awards. The event, curated by Mr. Ankur Sarin and Mr. Kulpreet Singh Ahuja, was organised by Entrepreneurs Media and supported by GFCTI – Global Federation of Commerce, Trade and Industry.
This prestigious event recognized outstanding individuals from more than 20 cities and 2 international locations who have significantly contributed to their respective fields. The event began at 10 AM, with a grand opening ceremony that featured some of the most prominent Guests of Honours. Some of the distinguished Guest of Honours present at the event were – Basem F. Hellis (Counsellor, Embassy of the State of Palestine, India), Mr. Demesew Kebede (Charge d’affaires, Embassy of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, New Delhi), Prof. IK Bhat (Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna University), Dr. Gaurav Gupta (Chairman GTTCI), T K Pandey (Director – Indian Importers Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IICCI)), Dr. Parmeet Singh Chadha (Global Chairman – World Sikh Chamber of Commerce), Dr. Nancy Juneja (Co-founder & CEO- MENTORx, Mentor of Change – Niti Aayog, Government of India), Dr. Munish Jindal (President MENTORx, CEO HoverRobotix), Harish Chandra (Chairman, Star International MSME FORUM), Balvinder Singh Bindra (Dy Head Govt Affairs, Sahajanand Medical Technologies Ltd), Subhash Manav (Director, Gramalaya.org), Anshumaan Singh (Uttar Pradesh Ratna, TEDx Speaker & Mentor), and media personality Mr. Sharad Kohli (Founder & CEO – KCC Group, Media panelist on Economy, Business & Finance), who also moderated one of the panel discussions. The highlight of the opening ceremony was the presence of Prof. (Dr.) I.K Bhatt, VC, Manav Rachna University, as a guest of honour, he delivered an inspiring keynote speech on the importance of perseverance and dedication in achieving excellence.
One of the highlights of the International Icons of Excellence Awards was the panel discussion, which was moderated by Mr. Sharad Kohli (Founder & Chairman, KCC Group), a renowned Media personality. The discussion focused on the Contribution of the MSME sector in India Becoming a 5 Trillion Economy. The panelists, Mr. Jaideep Singh Kalra (Director & Head Business Banking, North India, HSBC), Mr. Saurabh Jain (Founder, Fun2Do Labs (EdTech Startup), Ex-Vice President@Paytm), Mr. Mandeep M Singh (Board Member I Investor I M&A Advisor), Ms. Garima Arora (Managing Director at GA DIGITAL WEB WORD Private Limited), Ms. Ruchi Rathor (Founder, Payomatix Technologies Private Limited) shared their experiences and insights with the audience.
The second panel touched upon the hot topic of Startup Culture in India and its Impact on the Economy. This panel was moderated by Dr. Nancy Juneja (CEO & Founder- MENTORx l REVUP). Esteemed panelists, Mr. Anil Sood (Founder, SPCHETNA, TEDx Speaker), Dr. Yogita Sharma (Associate Professor, Manav Rachna University), Mr. Nishant Madhukar (Managing Partner & Chief of Strategy, Madhouse Works), and Dr. Munish Jindal (CEO HoverRobotix l President MENTORx) shared their pearls of wisdom with the audience.
Mr. Gursaurabh Singh, Inventor and Founder of Dhruv Vidyut, a revolutionary technology that converts any ordinary cycle into an electric cycle gave a demo of his invention that was featured on the latest season of Shark Tank. The audience was awestruck by this exciting invention.
The International Icons of Excellence Awards were presented by a distinguished lineup of presenters, including successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, and influential personalities. The winners of the awards were announced amidst a lot of fanfare and applause. Each winner received a beautiful trophy and a certificate in recognition of their achievements.
